In May 2014, Davido attacked the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) after missing his flight to London.

He accused them of pestering him for money.

On 11th-May-2014, the Public Relations Officer for the NIS denied Davido’s allegations and said they didn’t issue him an exit permit because he didn’t have the proper travel documents with him at the time.

In December 2015, Vanguard newspaper reported that Davido and his daughter’s mother, Sophia Momodu, were embroiled in a struggle over their child’s custody.

The newspaper reported that it all started after Sophie and her family filed a petition against Davido and his family for alleged child trafficking.

In a petition sent to the Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, Davido and his family were accused of keeping Imade away from her mother as well as trying to flee Nigeria with the baby.

Davido has since insisted that the allegations against him are false, but apologised to Dele Momodu, the cousin of Sophia Momodu.

Lessons From Davido

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Standing The Test Of Time
Davido was detained in the Police cell by his father due to his interest in music but that act did not make him give up on his passion.

There is something about passion; when you are passionate about something, there will always be a way.

He found a way to communicate what he really wanted to do with his father and they finally reached a compromise.

Our family is our support system and we should get them onboard to believe our dream no matter how long it takes.

Strive To Be The Best.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Work hard and success will come. Ensure to be the best in everything you do and the money and fame will follow.

For instance, ‘dami duro’, Davido’s second single video was a top notch and won the best video of the year.

Choose Your Path.

Choosing music as a career path was against Davido’s family ideal.

Nevertheless, he choose the path and today, the rest is history.

Even if you are the only one who sees a future in your venture, don’t stop moving.
